| If you are interested in
applying for a school-determined visit, this will need to be
done at least four months prior to departure. Given that it is preferable for visits to take
place outside of normal school hours, to minimise disruption
to pupil learning, we envisage that the majority of visits will
take place during half-term periods., unless schools are able
to meet their own supply cover costs for other dates.
Application forms are available download, by clicking the appropriate
link at the bottom of this page. The forms that need to be completed
are:
- TIPD 7 – Specific Planning Proposal Form. This needs
to be completed by the Group Leader for the Visit.
- TIPD 8 – Teacher Application Form. This needs to
be completed by each individual participant for the proposed
visit.
Please ensure that all forms are completed electronically
where possible, and have all the necessary signatures.
Please note that applications are accepted on a first-come,
first-served basis, until we have filled our contracted number
of places, and are satisfied that the proposed visit is acceptable
in terms of theme and timing.
What happens once the Trust has received applications?
Once we have received a completed set of application forms,
we will be responsible for ensuring the eligibility of the proposal
and of each applicant, in accordance with the set DfES criteria.
Once this has been done, potential participants will be notified,
in writing, whether or not the applications have been successful.
Once an application has been deemed successful, the Trust will
work closely with the Group Leader for the visit, in planning
all practical arrangements. A comprehensive information pack
will be sent to all participants once arrangements have been
made.
